Position Overview

Citizens Health is recruiting both part-time and full-time radiology technologist candidates with CT certification.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic and CT procedures.
  • Perform quality control procedures and document quality assurance findings.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining the departmental policy and procedure manual.
  • Enhance professional growth and development.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Imaging.
  • Licensed by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining departmental quality assurance.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergent situations.
  • Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.

Typical Working Conditions

Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances. Exposed to unpleasant elements such as accidents, injuries, illness, etc. May be required to perform emergency care. Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. Works with ionizing radiation. Subject to electrical energy hazards.

Typical Physical Demands

Requires sitting 50% of the time to complete radiology exams and paperwork. Requires walking or standing 50% of the time. Requires exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally to lift objects and patients. Lifting over 50 pounds requires a mechanical lifting device or a second human. Normal vision and hearing, with or without correction, is required. Work weekends, holidays, take call, and work overtime as needed.
