Job summary

HCA Florida West Marion Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide patient care and perform procedures using ionizing radiation for screening, diagnostic, and interventional guidance. You will operate equipment, optimize technical factors for diagnostic quality while minimizing dose, and relay images to the physician for interpretation.

The role includes inventory management, patient scheduling, and taking on-call shifts to support after-hours high-volume coverage.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
• Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist
• Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technologist program
• No experience required

Responsibilities

• Provides care for patients and performs all duties directly involved with procedures utilizing ionizing radiation for screening, diagnostic and guidance for interventional procedures in accordance with ALARA standards.
• Operates equipment setting appropriate technical factors to produce diagnostic quality images according to radiology practice standards, minimize patient dose, and relay images along with pertinent clinical information to the physician for interpretation.
• Assists with inventory management and patient scheduling.
• Takes on-call as assigned to provide after-hours high volume coverage.
