Job summary

The Radiology Technologist I at Community Health Systems, Inc. provides diagnostic radiographs with emphasis on patient safety and comfort, while supporting clinical instructor duties. You will work with the team to ensure accurate imaging and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include performing high-quality procedures, adhering to ALARA, preparing patients, documenting in PACS, and maintaining equipment and supplies in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of clinical experience as a radiologic technologist.
• ARRT certification required.
• State licensure as Radiologic Technologist required.
• BCLS within 30 days of hire required.
• Strong knowledge of radiologic imaging techniques, patient positioning and radiation safety.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality radiographic procedures independently, ensuring diagnostic-quality images.
• Adheres to ALARA principles and participates in Image Gently/Image Wisely programs.
• Prepares patients, verifies orders, and explains procedures.
• Maintains imaging equipment and infection control protocols.
• Documents in PACS for radiologist interpretation.
• Communicates effectively with staff and physicians to support patient care.
