Position Description

$20,000 Sign-On Bonus

Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Work Location: Radiologic Operations - Family/Sports Medicine Clinic, UAB Hospital Highlands

Under general supervision and according to UAHSF policies, provides specialized services involving interaction with patients, visitors, and the healthcare team. Greets patients, performs medical testing (vital signs, lab work), and performs X-rays as ordered by a physician. May prepare charge tickets, update patient charts, and handle patient communications in collaboration with physicians. Performs duties requiring independent judgment within established parameters.

Position Requirements
Education and Experience
  • Required: Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program. ARRT registered or eligible. One year of customer service experience demonstrating effective public interaction. Excellent communication skills.
  • Preferred: Experience in medical office settings, especially occupational medicine or workers' compensation.
License, Certification, and Registration
  • ARRT registration in Radiography or eligibility. Must register within one year of hire. CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
