Job summary

Apex Home Health, Hospice & Home Care is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist to assist cardiologists in invasive, diagnostic, and interventional cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiologic procedures.

The role involves setting up and operating electrical and imaging equipment, interpreting EKGs, providing moderate sedation, maintaining safety, and documenting outcomes while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Radiologic technology certificate required.
• Licensure in radiography and ARRT registration.
• BLS and ACLS certifications within 12 months.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to assist cardiologists in performing invasive, diagnostic, and interventional cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiologic procedures.

• Assist in setting up and operating electrical and imaging equipment, ensuring proper sterile technique, and managing physiologic monitoring.
• Interpret EKGs, recognize arrhythmias, and interpret hemodynamic data to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
• Administer moderate sedation, ensure patient safety, and provide patient education to alleviate anxiety during procedures.
• Maintain equipment safety, troubleshoot malfunctions, and manage digital archiving of patient images and reports.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan patient care, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with standards and safety protocols.
• Accurately document procedures, charges, and outcomes, and support research activities as needed.

Qualifications include:

a radiologic technology certificate, licensure in radiography and BLS, ACLS certification within a year, and ARRT registration. The role requires strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, procedural techniques, radiation safety, and excellent communication skills. Continuous education and participation in process improvements are essential.
