Job summary

Memorial Health System in Springfield, IL is seeking a Radiologic Technologist Assistant to support imaging staff and ensure smooth patient care. You will help with registration, transport, and basic imaging assistance while maintaining safety and infection control across the department.

You will also assist with inventory, linen handling, and call coverage as needed, upholding our standards for safety, courtesy, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

  • High School education required.
  • Enrolled in Rad Tech program.
  • A Current BLS/CPR certification required within 30 days of hire. Maintain per policy.
  • Clerical experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and guest relations skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clerical duties necessary for patient registration into the Radiology information System.
  • Transport patient to and from the imaging procedure room.
  • Provide patient assistance during the imaging exam process.
  • Utilize proper infection control practice.

Overview

Working as a Radiologic Technologist Assistant you will be working with the area assigned, provide support to the Medical Imaging Technologist to ensure promptness and efficiency of the patient care process. Ensure patient comfort and safety during the imaging experience to include comprehensive electronic medical record management.

Education:

  • High School education required.

Licensure/Certification/Registry:

  • Under direction of the appropriately licensed staff, mix oral contrast per Radiologist approved protocol.

  • Performs other related work as required or requested.
