A leading medical institute is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist Instructor to educate students on radiography in accordance with the curriculum standards. The role includes curriculum development, student advisement, and ensuring program accreditation while maintaining academic excellence. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree along with ARRT certification and relevant teaching experience.
Instruct and implement the Radiography program to educate students in accordance with the curriculum standards and objectives.
Help shape the future of radiologic technology professionals by delivering engaging instruction, evaluating student performance, and maintaining academic excellence. This part-time position involves curriculum development, student advisement, and participation in accreditation processes to ensure program success.
Develop and implement daily lesson plans, including scheduled activities and materials.
Plan instruction to meet specific objectives based on student needs and curriculum standards.
Teach students radiology procedures and x-ray lab techniques.
Monitor student attendance and coordinate with the Associate Director for absences exceeding two days.
Prepare weekly attendance reports for office management.
Track student success rates, implement strategies to reduce withdrawals, and engage students to encourage program completion (80% success rate required).
Maintain student grades per institutional policies and prepare final grades each semester.
Evaluate student academic and clinical performance, adjusting instruction as needed.
Prepare lectures, labs, and practical demonstrations in both group and individual settings.
Advise students on curriculum requirements and professional pathways.
Assist with externship coordination for Radiography students as needed.
Participate in accreditation and assessment processes as assigned by the Program Director.
Other related duties as assigned.
Education:Bachelor’s degree from an institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE).
Program Completion:Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program recognized by the USDE or CHEA.
Experience:Three (3) years of clinical experience in diagnostic radiography.
Teaching Experience:One (1) year of documented instruction experience in a JRCERT-accredited Radiography program (preferred).
Skills:Knowledge of course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
Certification:Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in Radiologic Sciences or an equivalent unrestricted state license.
Compliance:Must hold required licensure, certification, or other credentials as dictated by local, state, and federal laws.
Technical Skills:Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer applications.
Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Hiring Range:$31.00–$38.75 per hour.
