Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiologic equipment for diagnostic imaging and to monitor patient safety following ALARA principles. The role requires interaction with patients and collaboration with medical staff to ensure accurate procedures and comfort.

The position emphasizes adherence to quality control policies, English communication, and maintaining licensure and CPR certification.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited radiological technology program.
Registered by the ARRT or registry eligible; must maintain licensure on an annual basis.
CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

Follows all Quality Control policies and procedures for compliance with departmental, local, state and federal regulations.
Uses radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations, hospital policy, and to ensure safety of patients and staff.
Greets patients politely and efficiently.
Takes thorough and accurate patient medical histories.
Clearly explains procedures to patients in English and observes patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan.
