Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Radiology Tech II to perform general diagnostic imaging under physician supervision. The role includes patient positioning, equipment operation, room preparation, and documentation.

Job Description

Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination and procedure to patients and completes departmental documentation.
Grandfathered staff at time of merger with military radiologic technologist training will be accepted in lieu of ARRT registry.
