Job description

Shift Options
  • Full Time: Day or Evening Shift
  • Part Time: Flexible hours based on department needs
Sign-On Bonus
  • Full Time: $15,000
  • Part Time: $7,500
What You Will Do
  • Perform all basic diagnostic techniques and examinations according to protocols determined by the Radiologist.
  • Maintain constant attention to patients assigned for examination.
  • Produce optimal radiographs for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Select proper technical factors, restraining devices, and operate diagnostic equipment (c‑arm, portable, R&F, general) as directed.
  • Complete exams within specified productivity standards.
  • Identify, develop, and digitize patient films.
  • Maintain records of exams and digitize radiographs performed in the E.D. department within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Ensure proper patient identification and demographics on film.
  • Develop film by automatic processing.
  • Provide protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards to ensure well‑being of patients, hospital personnel, general public and self while performing any duties.
  • Maintain appropriate records of examinations and the integrity and efficiency of the Radiology Information System.
  • Subject to on‑call status including weekends, holidays and other shifts as assigned.
  • Refer to the Lead Technologist any complex problems and/or issues.
  • Participate in continuing education, self‑development, and the formal in‑service program for Radiology Complex.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
  • High School Diploma / GED (Required)
  • Technical Diploma in Radiology Program (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
  • Radiography – American Registry for Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) – within 12 months (Required)
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) – hands‑on instructor‑lead psychomotor skills verification (e.g., American Heart Association or Red Cross) – within 12 months (Required)
Experience
  • Level I – experience preferred, not required
  • Level II – at least 3 years of experience required
  • Level III – at least 5 years of experience required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Basic knowledge of all forms of diagnostic imaging (Required proficiency)
  • Basic knowledge of film processing equipment (Required proficiency)
  • Basic knowledge of PACS systems (Preferred proficiency)
  • Basic knowledge of Radiology Information Systems (Preferred proficiency)
  • Basic knowledge of CR and DR equipment (Required proficiency)
  • Maintain continuing education for this position (Required proficiency)
  • Attend Infection Control lecture (mandatory) (Required proficiency)
  • Attend Fire & Safety lecture (mandatory) (Required proficiency)
  • Obtain at least 12 CE credits/year (Required proficiency)

Salary Range
