Job summary

Healthstar/CPS is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to prepare patients for radiologic procedures and perform x-ray imaging following established safety protocols. The role includes maintaining the x-ray room, ensuring equipment operation, and assisting physicians in patient care in a Tennessee-based facility.

The candidate should hold ARRT registration, Tennessee x-ray operator licensure, and a current CPR certificate; bone density/Dexa certification is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Applicant must know how to perform x-rays and other tests associated with the radiology department.
  • Applicant must be knowledgeable in medical terminology.
  • Responsible for proper documentation guidelines according to x-ray protocols and legal requirements.
  • Responsible for dress code.
  • Along with all other employees, responsible for medical record maintenance, i.e., securing information in the chart, placing dividers if applicable and proper chart order.
  • Shuts down equipment and x-ray room at close of the day.
  • Other duties assigned by Management.

Mental/Physical Requirements
  • Standing 4-6 hours/day, walking, stooping, bending.
  • Requires ability to move equipment and transfer patients.
  • Occasional stress in working with tense patients.
Qualifications
Education

High School Graduate or Equivalent

Registered American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.

Current CPR certificate.

License And Requirements

Must have Tennessee X-ray Operator Licensure.

ARRT Registered Technologist

Bone Density/ Dexa scan certification is a plus
