Qualifications

  • Associates degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or related field is required at hire.
  • Program must be accredited by JRCERT.
  • KY Medical Radiographer licensure required at hire.
  • ARRT registered in Radiography at hire or.
  • Bone Densitometry registration at hire.
  • Computed Tomography registration at hire.
  • Cardio Interventional Radiography registration at hire.
  • Mammography registration at hire.
  • MRI registration at hire.
  • Nuclear Medicine registration at hire.
  • Quality Management registration at hire.
  • Radiation Therapy registration at hire.
  • Vascular Interventional Radiography registration at hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care appropriate to the age of patients served.
  • Perform imaging procedures (X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI) as directed.
  • Follow Radiologist protocols to ensure quality and timely diagnoses.
  • Comply with National Patient Safety goals and hospital policies.
  • Participate in hospital and department QA programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development and competency in imaging technology.

Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  • Performs procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist’s expectations and protocols.
  • Displays knowledge and complies with the National Patient Safety goals.
  • Supports and reports any identified compliance matters.
  • Participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
  • Maintains professional development and education for technical competency.
