Qualifications

Job description

Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center, a Premier Orthopaedic partner is looking for a PRN Radiologic Technologist to cover at all of our different locations.

Schedule: PRN

Essential Functions
• Performs radiology procedures as ordered by physicians and providers.
• Prepares patients for radiological procedures following all quality assurance guidelines.
• Properly completes forms, billing, and documentation on patient’s chart.
• Maintains required records including patient records, daily logbooks, and monthly reports.
• Performs quantity and quality control checks to assure equipment meets standards required by law and departmental
policies. Complies with safety standards.
• Cleans maintains, and makes minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining equipment repairs.
• Makes sure equipment is functioning and informs manager when issues occur where service is required.
• Travels to other clinics as directed by Radiology Leadership.
• Processes room add-on cases before scheduled cases.
• Uses equipment in compliance with all safety requirements.
• Complies with all HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
• Reports any patient complaints or concerns to the Radiology Leadership.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication with physicians, employees, and other departments.
• Responds to patient questions as required to resolve issues and maintain high patient satisfaction levels.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Attends required department staff meetings.

Qualifications
• Associates Degree in Radiology Technology
• Current ARRT certification
• One to two years of experience as a Radiology Technologist in a hospital or clinic environment.
• Current state and ARRT certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Knowledge of radiology exam policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of operating a PC and applicable computer software.
• Knowledge of safety requirements within the department
