All Radiologic Technologists are state and nationally registered professionals. Under the supervision of the technical supervisor and medical director, the Radiologic Technologist I demonstrates proficiency in all skills required to perform general diagnostic radiologic procedures. They perform other duties as assigned and project professionalism in communication, appearance, and conduct, supporting the Radiology Department's mission. They participate in continuous quality improvement processes, maintaining knowledge of departmental and organizational policies, procedures, specialized instrumentation, quality control, and regulatory requirements such as Title 22 and Title 17 of California regulations. They perform duties that do not violate laws or regulations requiring special licensure.
Accurately identify patient information and take measures to provide age-specific care. Educate patients and families about examinations, report changes in patient status, and initiate emergency responses if needed. Document all patient information accurately in hospital systems.
