Job summary

CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI imaging to support accurate radiologic diagnoses and patient care.

You will assess patients of all ages, obtain histories, determine necessary modifications, document assessments in the EHR, and exercise professional judgment while upholding ethical standards in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Military program accredited by JRCERT acceptable at hire.
• ARRT registration within 12 months of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive assessment on patients of all ages including screening and contraindications.
• Obtains pertinent medical history by observation or with oral communication.
• Performs patient assessment to determine: patient’s ability, care during the procedure, and modifications by age.
• Uses patient history and assessment to support the care plan and documents the history.
• Exercises professional judgment and maintains ethics in service delivery.
• Capable of using EHR.

*Job Summary and Responsibilities*
As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.
Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Completes a comprehensive assessment on patients of all ages including patient screening and contraindications.
• Obtains pertinent medical history from patients by observation or with oral communication.
• Performs patient assessment to determine: Patient’s physical ability to undergo the imaging procedure as needed. What patient care is needed during the procedure. What modification of the procedure may be required by the age of the patient. If there are contraindications to performing the procedure as ordered.
• Utilizes patient clinical assessment and patient clinical history in making professional judgment that supports the plan of patient care and properly documents the patient assessment and clinical history.
• Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.
• Capable of using EHR

• graduate of a military program accredited by JRCERT, upon hire
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, within 12 - months and
• Medical Radiographer: AR, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days and

• Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, upon hire or
• Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, upon hire or
