Job summary

Summit Spine & Joint Centers is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures while assisting providers during in-office procedures.

This PRN role supports Region 101 Greenville and Region 102 Columbia ASC locations, with travel between clinic sites as needed. Ideal candidates maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and imaging quality in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
• Current state licensure as required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment and procedures.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures as ordered by providers.
• Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to obtain quality images in accordance with physician specifications and established protocols.
• Assist physicians during procedures by maintaining a sterile field, passing instruments and supplies, and monitoring patient status.
• Position patients appropriately and ensure comfort and safety throughout imaging procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms and imaging equipment prior to scheduled procedures.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system.
• Evaluate image quality and identify any technical concerns that may impact diagnostic outcomes.
• Provide compassionate, professional patient care while maintaining confidentiality and dignity.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow and clinic operations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain required certifications and continuing education.
• Travel to assigned clinic locations as needed to support patient care and operational needs.

This position is responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures while assisting providers during in-office procedures. The ideal candidate will maintain the highest standards of patient care, safety, and imaging quality while working collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

This job is a PRN position at Summit Spine & Joint Centers that reports to the ASC Associate Director. This position’s primary locations will be for region 101 and 102 ASC clinic locations (see below) and are subject to change based on coverage/business needs.

Region 101 Operating Schedule:

Greenville (ASC): Tuesday, Thursday and every other Monday 8am-5pm

Region 102 Operating Schedule:

Columbia (ASC): Friday 8am-5pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures as ordered by providers.

• Experience in interventional pain management, orthopedic, spine, or special procedures settings.
• Experience using EClinicalWorks or other electronic medical record systems.
• Previous outpatient clinic experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and assist patients throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and/or patients as needed.
• Frequent lifting and carrying of objects up to 50 pounds; occasional lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to travel between clinic locations when required.
