Job summary

Summit Spine & Joint Centers is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our clinical team. This part-time role performs diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures under physician supervision, while ensuring patient safety and imaging quality in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The position supports multiple ASC locations (Charleston region 103 and Myrtle Beach region 104) with flexible Tuesday and Thursday schedules. CPR/BLS, ARRT registration, and state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
• Current state licensure as required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment and procedures.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures as ordered by providers.
• Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to obtain quality images in accordance with physician specifications and established protocols.
• Assist physicians during procedures by maintaining a sterile field, passing instruments and supplies, and monitoring patient status.
• Position patients appropriately and ensure comfort and safety throughout imaging procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms and imaging equipment prior to scheduled procedures.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system.
• Travel to assigned clinic locations as needed to support patient care and operational needs.

Job Description Summary:

Summit Spine & Joint Centers is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Radiologic Technologist to join our clinical team. This position is responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures while assisting providers during in-office procedures. The ideal candidate will maintain the highest standards of patient care, safety, and imaging quality while working collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

This job is apart-time position at Summit Spine & Joint Centers that reports to theASCAssociate Director. This position’s primary locations will be forregion 103 and 104 ASC clinic locations(see below) and are subject to change based on coverage/business needs.

Region 103 Operating Schedule:

Charleston (ASC): Tuesday 8am-5pm

Region 104 Operating Schedule:

Myrtle Beach (ASC): Thursday 8am-5pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures as ordered by providers.
• Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to obtain quality images in accordance with physician specifications and established protocols.
• Assist physicians during procedures by maintaining a sterile field, passing instruments and supplies, and monitoring patient status.
• Position patients appropriately and ensure comfort and safety throughout imaging procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms and imaging equipment prior to scheduled procedures.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Evaluate image quality and identify any technical concerns that may impact diagnostic outcomes.
• Provide compassionate, professional patient care while maintaining confidentiality and dignity.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow and clinic operations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain required certifications and continuing education.
• Travel to assigned clinic locations as needed to support patient care and operational needs.

Qualifications:

Required

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
• Current state licensure as required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment and procedures.

Preferred

• Experience in interventional pain management, orthopedic, spine, or special procedures settings.
• Experience using EClinicalWorks or other electronic medical record systems.
• Previous outpatient clinic experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and assist patients throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and/or patients as needed.
• Frequent lifting and carrying of objects up to 50 pounds; occasional lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to travel between clinic locations when required.
