Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join the Radiology Diagnostic team at Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs. This full-time night-shift role involves performing imaging procedures, reviewing orders, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the exam.

The successful candidate will have ARRT registration, completion of an accredited radiologic technology program, and BLS certification. A state license and ongoing professional development are required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with required specialty certifications if applicable.
  • BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross; valid through 60 days after hire.
  • State licensure required by law where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide radiologic imaging procedures with direct patient care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Model proficiency by precepting new imaging staff within UCHealth.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment and embrace new knowledge.

Job description

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hosp Central, US:CO:Colorado Springs

Department: Radiology Diagnostic

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Nights

Pay: $28.38 - $39.74 / hour. Shift differential included for evenings, nights, and weekends. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience and relocation bonus may apply for qualified candidates.

Minimum Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Specialty ARRT certification(s) if required for position; state licensure if required by law; Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be valid through sixty days of hire.
Responsibilities
  • Provide top‑of‑scope practice in direct patient care, performing various imaging and radiologic procedures.
  • Value a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes.
  • Model proficiency through precepting those new to imaging and/or UCHealth.
  • Welcomes new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment.
  • Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care.
  • Review patient history, initiate radiographic images based on physician orders, and prioritize procedural patient education to ensure mutual understanding and cooperation.
  • Safely administer contrast media or associated imaging medications while monitoring patient condition.
  • Respond to and report changes in patient condition as appropriate.
  • Implement techniques to yield clarity in image quality, control, and equipment functionality based on established best practices in radiology (AART).
