Radiologic Technologist – Second Shift (Full-Time)

Northwest Kansas | Non-Exempt | Monday–Friday | 4×9.5 hr Shifts | Rotating Call

Position Summary

A healthcare facility in Northwest Kansas is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist for a full-time second‑shift role. This position performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, supports patient safety, and provides high‑quality customer service. The role requires flexibility, including occasional call, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging exams, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Perform radiologic procedures following established protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain image quality, accurate documentation, and timely submission to PACS.
  • Use appropriate radiation safety practices for patients and staff.
  • Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and general care needs.
  • Monitor and maintain imaging equipment; report issues as needed.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and EMR entries.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and support department operations.
  • Cross‑train in additional modalities such as CT, DEXA, or mammography (training available).
  • Participate in call rotation with a required 30‑minute response time.
  • Collaborate effectively with patients, providers, and team members.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT certification (or registry eligible).
  • State Radiologic Technologist licensure (or ability to obtain).
  • BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome.
  • CT experience is a plus; training available for those without prior CT skills.
Skills & Competencies
  • Knowledge of radiologic procedures, equipment, safety, and anatomy.
  • IV competency and familiarity with contrast imaging.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and adapt to changing demands.
  • Competent in EMR systems and basic computer use.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
Work Environment
  • Frequent walking, standing, and lifting to assist patients.
  • Regular use of computers and imaging equipment.
  • Occasional exposure to radiation, bodily fluids, and emergency situations (with appropriate PPE).
  • Interaction with diverse patient populations and clinical teams.
