Job summary

Summa Health in Cleveland, Ohio is looking for a Radiologic Technologist. In this full-time position, you will operate radiologic equipment to obtain diagnostic images and ensure timely processing of patient records. Qualifications

  • Graduate of an A.M.A approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered or registry eligibility with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Must be licensed as a Radiographer by the State of Ohio.
  • Successful completion of training to perform other radiology procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Operates radiologic equipment to obtain diagnostic radiographs.
  • Ensures proper processing of patient records for timely results.
  • Performs other assigned duties related to training and skills.

Job description

Full-time / 10:00 am - 6:30 pm / Monday - Friday / Every 3rd weekend, every other holiday

Akron City Campus - Diagnostic Radiology / Level 1 Trauma

  • Eligible for up to a $10,000 hire on incentive

Summary

Operates radiologic equipment to obtain diagnostic radiographs. Ensures that all aspects of patient records are processed properly to initiate procedure results in a timely manner. Performs other assigned duties as training and skills allow.

Formal Education Required
  • Graduate of an A.M.A approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered or registry eligibility with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Must be licensed as a Radiographer by the State of Ohio.
Experience & Training Required
  • Successful completion of training to perform other radiology procedures (e.g., selected C.T. procedures, etc.).
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
  • Ability to appropriately communicate with patients, physicians and hospital employees.
  • Ability to calibrate and operate equipment, properly position patients and apply and adjust restraining devices. Ability to lift and position patients.
  • Ability to initiate CPR (CPR Certification).
  • Ability to utilize hospital and radiology computer system and file system.
  • Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.

Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location, are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
