GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Manager, Radiology, the Radiology Tech performs professional duties in assigned areas, sections, or departments. Performs routine radiographic procedures and specialized technical procedures, applying prescribed radiation for radiologic diagnosis on patients from infancy to geriatrics. These duties are performed in strict confidentiality, aligning with Insight Hospital and Medical Center's mission, values, and behaviors. Employees are expected to deliver high-quality care, service, and kindness to patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and guests.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
KNOWLEDGE:
High School Diploma required. Completion of an AMA-accredited School of Radiologic Technology. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety licensing. BLS/CPR certification required.
SKILLS:
Accuracy and careful attention to exposure time and patient positioning are essential.
ABILITIES:
Effective communication with patients, physicians, and staff. Ability to position patients correctly and adapt techniques as needed. Work well under pressure, stay alert to technical developments, and be willing to learn and adapt.
