Job summary

CommonSpirit Memorial in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (PRN) to perform X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI imaging, contributing to accurate radiologic diagnoses and a positive patient experience.

You will ensure image quality, proper patient positioning, and adherence to protocols while coordinating with radiologists and care teams. This role requires ARRT/CPR readiness and flexibility for varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology program and CPR certification on hire.
• ARRT registration within 12 months of hire is preferred.
• Flexibility for PRN hours and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT and MRI imaging as needed.
• Ensure patient identifiers, order accuracy and proper exam selection.
• Position patients and monitor images for quality and safety.
• Maintain PACS proficiency and prioritize workload.

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Uses two patient identifiers
• Compares doctor’s order to requisition for accuracy
• Performs the correct exam
• Includes all anatomy required to produce an adequate exam.
• Demonstrates continued competency in using PACS
• Routinely demonstrates the ability to prioritize workload.

Job Requirements
