Job summary

Tanner Health in Carrollton seeks a Cardiac Cath/Special Procedures Technologist to assist in preparing and providing care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and radiographic procedures. The technologist operates radiographic equipment, offers scrub assistance to the physician, and may function as a sub-circulator under RN supervision.

This role requires an associate degree (or 2 years of college), one year of related experience, and certification in ACLS,

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of college coursework required.
• ACLS certification required; must be maintained.
• Registered with ARRT, ARCRT, or CCI(RCIS) required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation and care for adults undergoing cardiac catheterization and radiographic procedures.
• Operates radiographic equipment and provides technical scrub assistance to the physician during procedures.
• May function as a sub-circulator under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Job description

The Cardiac Cath/Special Procedures Technologist assists in the preparation and provision of care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and/or radiographic procedures. He/she is responsible for the operation of radiographic equipment as well as able to provide technical assistance (scrub) to the physician during a procedure. He/she may function as a sub-circulator under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Education

Experience

One year of related experience. Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.

Licenses & Certifications

Qualifications

• Must obtain ACLS within one year of hire date.
• Registered by the ARRT, ARCRT, or CCI(RCIS).
