Job summary

Health Care Administrators Association® (HCAA) is seeking a senior radiology technologist to perform diagnostic imaging, ensure patient safety, image quality, and compliance with protocols. The role reviews requisitions, identifies patients, selects equipment, and explains procedures to patients and families.

Senior technologists mentor junior staff, support daily operations, troubleshoot equipment, and participate in QA and professional development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for senior roles.
• Valid MA Radiographer license and ARRT certification.
• BLS certification for senior roles.
• Minimum 3 years of diagnostic radiology experience for senior technologists.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex imaging techniques with emphasis on ALARA safety.
• Review requisitions, identify patients, select equipment, and explain procedures.
• Mentor junior staff and support daily operations, equipment maintenance.
• Participate in quality assurance and adherence to departmental workflows.

Job description

Position Overview: This role involves performing diagnostic radiology imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with departmental protocols. It includes reviewing requisitions, identifying patients accurately, selecting appropriate equipment, and explaining procedures to patients and families while practicing ALARA radiation safety principles. The role requires assessing patients' physical and emotional needs and developing tailored care plans. Senior technologists also mentor junior staff, support daily operations, troubleshoot equipment issues, and participate in quality assurance and professional development initiatives.
Qualifications: An Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology is required, with a preferred Bachelor’s degree. Candidates must hold a valid MA Radiographer license and ARRT certification, along with BLS certification for senior roles. Experience in diagnostic radiology is necessary, with a minimum of 3 years for senior technologists.
