Trinity Health Michigan in Grand Rapids seeks a Radiologic Technologist – Interventional to support heart, vascular and radiology teams during interventional procedures. You will produce diagnostic radiographs and imaging, assist physicians and nurses, and maintain equipment.

The role emphasizes patient care, safety, training of staff, and quality assurance. ARRT registry required, BCLS, and IR/Cath Lab exposure preferred; full-time day shift.

Formación

• ARRT registered technologist or registry-eligible with registry within one year.
• BCLS certification required.
• Preferred: IR or Cath Lab experience.
• Two years of hospital radiology experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assists Radiologists and Nurses in invasive procedures.
• Produces diagnostic radiographs/imaging.
• Assesses patient condition to determine technique.
• Administers medication and barium solutions.
• Oversees maintenance and repair of interventional equipment.
• Tests and selects new equipment and products.
• Performs scheduling, processing films, filing, inventory, cleaning, QA.
• Communicates examination results to physician and patient.
• Provides instruction to students and new staff.
• Prepares exam rooms and performs post-procedure cleanup.
• Explains procedures and addresses patient concerns.

Position Summary

What the Radiologic Technologist - Interventional will do

• Assists Radiologists and Nurses in the performance of invasive procedures.
• Produces diagnostic radiographs/imaging.
• Assesses patient condition to determine appropriate technique.
• Administers medication and barium solutions.
• Oversees the maintenance and repair of interventional equipment.
• Participates in testing and selecting new equipment and products.
• Performs a variety of support functions, including scheduling patients, processing films, filing records and reports, monitoring supply inventory, cleaning equipment, and quality assurance and control.
• Communicates examination results to physician and patient.
• Provides instruction and training to students and new staff.
• Prepares examination room for procedures and performs post-procedure clean up.
• Explains procedures to patients, investigating and resolving patient complaints.

What the Radiologic Technologist - Interventional will need

• Associate's degree from American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) program.
• Registered Technologist or registry- eligible with registry completed within one year of hire.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Preferred: two years of experience as a Radiologic Technician/ Radiology Technologist, working in a hospital radiology department with exposure to invasive procedures.
• Preferred: IR or Cath Lab experience
