Qualifications

  • CA Medical Radiographer license required at hire.
  • ARRT registration in Radiography required at hire.
  • BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Fluoroscopy CA certification required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Performs radiographic procedures with knowledge of anatomy, positioning and technical factors.
  • Ensures the correct exam is performed on the correct patient and understands exam purpose.
  • Maintains professional demeanor and triages multiple requests.
  • Coordinates workflow with hospital staff in a cooperative, collaborative manner.
  • Adheres to radiation safety principles and applicable regulations.
  • Gathers clinical information for each exam and ensures safe patient care.

Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

  • Performs all radiographic procedures with a sound understanding of anatomy, physiology, positioning and technical factors to produce quality diagnostic images
  • Assures that the proper examination is performed on the correct patient, and understands the clinical reason the exam is being performed
  • Demonstrates professional demeanor and ability to triage multiple requests and asks for assistance when appropriate
  • Coordinates work flow with medical center co-workers in a cooperative and collaborative manner
  • Demonstrates awareness of radiation safety principles, Joint Commission requirements, and all applicable Federal, State and local regulations
  • Gathers appropriate clinical information for each examination, assuring that safe care is delivered
