Job summary

HonorHealth Shea Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic procedures under radiologist supervision, position patients, operate imaging equipment, ensure image quality, and maintain safety during exams. You may rotate to different locations within the network.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT certification, BLS, and completion of an accredited radiography program; AZ CRT license. Night shift Wed-Sat 8pm-6:30am with a $10k sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; ARRT radiography training required.
• ARRT certification and AZ CRT license required prior to start.
• BLS certification required.
• Radiography program completion or military radiography training required.
• Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct imaging procedures.
• Position patients, assist into exam room, and ensure safety and comfort.
• Perform radiology procedures and evaluate image quality.
• Administer contrast materials and respond to adverse reactions as needed.
• Operate RIS/PACS and coordinate daily workflow in the department.
• Maintain equipment, stock, and safety in the assigned area.
• May rotate to other locations within the network as staffing requires.

Assumes responsibility for tasks or procedures as assigned. Performs data entry operations using appropriate hospital software package. Staff member may be required to provide coverage at various locations in the network.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReviews patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, imaging site, Protocols procedure with radiologist as needed. Transports patients to and from the exam room and assists them into position using safe patient handling techniques and equipment. Performs Radiology procedures and observes patient during procedure to ensure patient's safety and comfort. Administers contrast materials as required. Able to initiate emergency response to contrast reaction as needed. Obtains and evaluates images for technical quality assurance factors including image laterality marking and annotation as required by Radiology procedure protocols. Utilizes RIS, PACS and other, ancillary image management systems as neededassists in coordination of daily workflow for the department’s activities.Maintains equipment in efficient operating order. Performs and documents all required quality control testing. Contacts service for repair and maintenance as directed.Rotates throughout the department as staffing and volume dictates.Participates in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff, as needed.Maintains an orderly, clean and safe environment of patients and staff in assigned area.
