Job summary

HonorHealth in Paradise Valley is seeking a Radiology Technologist with CT/MRI expertise. The role requires performing radiology procedures, CT and MRI, and supporting Hybrid OR tasks as needed.

You will ensure image quality, patient history intake, and proper annotation in RIS/PACS while maintaining equipment and workflow across shifts. ARRT and BLS required, with state license active.

Qualifications

• Must have two or more modalities: Radiology, CT or MRI.
• ARRT certification and valid RT license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with RIS/PACS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT or MRI and general radiology procedures per protocol.
• Assist in Hybrid OR procedures as needed and coordinate patient care.
• Ensure image quality, correct labeling and documentation in RIS/PACS.
• Schedule daily workflow and maintain equipment and QC tests.
• Rotate through department to support staffing needs.

Performs high quality procedures that require ingenuity, initiative and independent judgment. Duties include and are not limited to performing routine test, monitoring the quality of tests, and obtaining maintenance service on equipment. This position may require providing technical and imaging support at any HonorHealth facility in the network. Technologist must routinely perform procedures in these modalities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMust perform all functions related to a minimum of two of the following modalities: Radiology, CT or MRI or serve the Hybrid OR in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties.Assists physician in a variety of procedures within specified guidelines as demonstrated by documentation.Demonstrates proficiency in performing procedures. All procedures will be conducted in accordance with proper procedures and within specified timeframes as ordered and directed.Assists physicians with procedures as needed.Obtains accurate and pertinent clinical and patient history within specified guidelines. Answers patient questions and explains procedures.Operates equipment within specifications as demonstrated by observation and audit.Obtains and evaluates images for technical quality assurance factors including image laterality marking and annotation as required by specified procedure protocols. Utilizes RIS, PACS and other, ancillary image management systems as needed.Plans, schedules, and coordinates daily workflow for the department’s activities.Maintains equipment in efficient operating order. Performs and documents all required quality control testing. Contacts service for repair and maintenance as directed.Rotates throughout the department as staffing and volume dictates.Participates in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff, as needed.Maintains an orderly, clean and safe environment of patients and staff in assigned area.
