Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree from an accredited institution with three years of radiologic technology experience including clinical practice.
• ARRT-RT certification required; CA CRT and fluoroscopy certifications preferred.
• Degrees must come from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Teach theory, lab, and clinical radiologic technology components across available schedules.
• Deliver courses for the academic year in line with outlines.
• Coach and advise students throughout coursework and clinical progress.

Instructor Radiologic Technology Faculty Campus: Lakewood, CA - ARRT recognized Reports to: Director of Education Type: Full-time / Part-time

Faculty position

Overview

This role carries responsibility across the full arc of the radiography program: curriculum design, instruction, student evaluation, academic advisement, program assessment, and oversight of clinical coordinators and program faculty.

Faculty are expected to stay current in their discipline, in learning theory, and in pedagogy - and to show ongoing professional development and contribution to program growth over time.

What You’ll Do

• Teach theory, laboratory, and clinical components of radiologic technology courses across morning, afternoon, or evening schedules as department needs require
• Deliver courses across the academic year in line with established course outlines
• Coach and resource students throughout their coursework and clinical progress
• Help develop and assess student learning outcomes
• Develop and update course curricula and syllabi, and help build new courses as the program grows
• Build supplementary materials and bring instructional technology into lecture and lab, for a multicultural student body
• Take an active role in campus initiatives, including accreditation work
• Keep current through ongoing professional development in the field

What you bring

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree from an accredited institution, with three years of professional experience in radiologic technology, including clinical practice.
• Current ARRT-RT certification.
• All degrees must come from an accredited college or university.

$34.00 - $38.00 / hour (based on experience)
