Job summary

The Indian Health Service is seeking a qualified X-Ray Technologist to perform routine to complex radiographic exams with fixed and portable systems. You will position patients, adjust exposure factors, and ensure imaging quality while maintaining safety and infection control.

Requirements include accredited radiologic training and current radiographer registration, plus compliance with E-Verify and security checks. On-call and rotating shifts may apply in this federal role.

Qualifications

• Credentialing must meet Public Law 97-35 and 42 CFR Part 75 for radiologic personnel.
• Experience with radiographic examinations and image quality expectations.
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program and current registration as a radiographer.
• Must pass E-Verify and meet background/suitability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic examinations using fixed and portable imaging equipment.
• Positions patients and selects/adjusts technical factors to obtain high-quality images.
• Provides patient care and ensures radiation safety by explaining procedures and monitoring patient condition.
• Operates, troubleshoots, and maintains radiographic equipment and reports malfunctions.
• Maintains radiology records and participates in quality assurance, infection control, and operations activities.
