Job Summary: Responsible for all aspects of C-arm operation, including maneuvering and operating the equipment safely, producing, documenting, and storing quality radiologic images. Strive to minimize patient wait times and educate patients and families about procedures. The primary goal is to efficiently provide surgical services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial outcomes.

Additional responsibilities may include facilitating efficient procedure room turnover, serving on committees, participating in quality audits and projects, and training ancillary personnel such as nurses and surgical technologists. Candidates should demonstrate excellent multitasking, communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Arrive 30 minutes prior to procedures for setup.
  • Operate equipment per regulations.
  • Follow ALARA principles.
  • Perform radiographic procedures as per policies.
  • Maintain high-quality radiology work.
  • Report equipment malfunctions.
  • Follow infection control policies.
  • File and log x-ray data properly.
  • Report findings to physicians and transfer images to PACS.
  • Serve as a resource to the healthcare team.
  • Ensure proper care of lead aprons and dosimeters.
  • Use universal precautions and safety practices.
  • Adhere to equipment safety guidelines.
  • Maintain documentation and competencies.
  • Act in accordance with the organization's mission and policies.
  • Maintain patient, physician, and employee confidentiality.
  • Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Attend meetings and educational sessions.
  • Act as a patient advocate.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Current ARRT certification or eligible (to be completed within 6 months).
  • State license to operate ionizing equipment.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • 1-2 years of experience in C-arm and portable X-rays in an OR setting.
Additional Information:
  • Full-time, 30-40 hours/week, Monday-Friday.
  • Location primarily at the home ASC, with travel to other centers.
