Responsibilities

• Assigned to a shop/ship environment performing RT inspections on piping, casting, and structural welds.
• Perform inspections in the applicable method(s) within the past 9 months, demonstrating proficiency through written and practical examinations.
• Climb vertical ladders, crawl in tanks and confined spaces, and work at heights; able to lift 50 lbs.
• Perform PPE training and use eye/face, head, foot, hand, body, hearing protection, and PFAS systems.
• Shift work 0600-1430 M‑F, 0500-1330 Sat‑Sun, with optional up to 12 hours per day based on supervisor discretion.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

• Documented qualification/certification to Level II requirements of ASNT SNT‑TC‑1A, 2016 Edition.
• RT inspectors must have passed and documented certification of IRRSP from a licensed entity.
• Passed written general theory, procedure‑specific, and practical examinations for RT inspection of piping, casting, or structural welds.
• Passed a visual acuity exam using Jaeger 1 letters at a distance of not less than 12 inches within the last year.
• Current and preceding 3‑year certification period documentation, including training and experience records, examination results, and vision tests.
• Evidence of inspections performed in the applicable method(s) within the past 9 months.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, crawl in confined spaces, and not be afraid of heights.
• Must have 3rd‑party certification, TC1A qualification, and ability to read simple blueprints.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired)

• 250‑1500 qualification is a bonus.

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent. School must be accredited.

Hours

Daily shift 0600-1430 M‑F, 0500-1330 Sat‑Sun, with optional up to 12 hours per day at supervisor discretion.
