Pima Medical Institute is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to serve as Clinical Director for our Radiography program at our Albuquerque campus. In this role, you will coordinate the clinical education and instruction of students, manage clinical site relationships, and ensure students develop the competency and confidence to succeed in the field.

Clinical Site Management: Secure new clinical sites and contractual agreements; coordinate with clinical staff to establish regular placement sites for students.
Student Externship Oversight: Conduct student orientations at each clinical education site; coordinate and revise the clinical education plan.
Performance Evaluations: Visit clinical sites regularly to review and evaluate student clinical performance and progress; coordinate with site instructors to ensure effective clinical education.
Safety & Compliance: Monitor student competency evaluations, clinical records, and radiation exposure.
Scheduling & Objectives: Coordinate the scheduling of students within clinical departments; develop clinical objectives and evaluations.
Student Retention: Review student success rates and implement plans to reduce withdrawals; maintain an 80% student success rate for all classes taught.
Instruction & Grading: Prepare lesson plans and instruct students in radiography and positioning techniques; perform the duties of a Radiography instructor as needed. Maintain student grades per established policies.
Program Support: Recommend changes to the Program Director and participate in accreditation and assessment processes as directed. Assist with student applicant admissions as needed.
Education: Bachelor's degree from an institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the USDE or CHEA.
Program Graduate: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program recognized by the USDE or CHEA.
Clinical Experience: Minimum three (3) years of full-time clinical experience in diagnostic radiography.
Instructional Experience: Minimum one (1) year of instructional experience in a JRCERT-accredited Radiography program.
Credentials & Licensure: Current ARRT registration in Radiologic Sciences OR unrestricted New Mexico state license. Current license, certification, or credential as required by law.
Technical & Soft Skills: Proficiency in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, academic advising, Microsoft Office Suite, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Work environment includes classroom, lab, and office spaces with exposure to biohazardous materials and x-rays.
Requires the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and operate standard office equipment.
Salary Range: $78,030 – $97,535 per year.
