Responsibilities

• Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
• Analyze images for quality and resolve issues, including repositioning if needed.
• Review patient history and physician orders to ensure correct exam.
• Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exam expectations.
• Take on-call responsibilities as required by the department.
• Prepare equipment and supplies and select proper exposure factors.
• Maintain safety standards and conduct quality control on equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report issues to supervisors.
• Document charges accurately and manage exam coding.
• Prepare and administer contrast media or medications when within scope.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes during procedures.
