Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in North Kingstown, RI seeks a Radiography Level II Film Interpreter to interpret radiographs for weld quality, including pipe and structural welds, following applicable standards and procedures.

The role requires reviewing film, maintaining records, and supporting audits while contributing to the development of new techniques. Training will begin on first shift with a potential shift change based on business needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years radiography experience including minimum 1 year as certified Level I radiographer.
• Must be able to obtain EB Level IIRT certification within one year.
• Must be able to work overtime when required (weekends/holidays).
• Must be able to work other shifts as business needs.
• Proof of any relevant OJT and/or certifications must be provided by the applicant.

Responsibilities

• Review film per specification for part and class; review radiographic technique forms for completeness; document deficiencies and dispositions; provide customer audit support.
• Contribute to development of new concepts, techniques and standards; develop solutions to complex problems; ensure solutions align with organizational objectives; exercise independent judgment.
• Serve as a consultant to management and external contacts; mentor new analysts.

Overview

The Industrial Radiographer/Film Interpreter is responsible for performing interpretation of radiographs to evaluate weld quality, including evaluation of both pipe and structural weldments in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Primary duties include reviewing film in accordance with specification applicable for part and class; reviewing radiographic technique forms for completeness and accuracy; documentation and maintenance of recorProof of any relevant OJT and /or certifications are required to be considered for this role. Do you acknowledge and agree to this requirement?ds pertaining to any deficiencies and dispositions; provide customer audit support.
• Will contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards; develop solutions to complex problems; ensure solutions are consistent with organizational objectives; exercise considerable independent judgment and discretion in determining long-term goals, objectives and approaches to assignments
• Will serve as a consultant to management and external contacts; represent the organization on major matters pertaining to policies, plans and objectives; and be responsible for teaching/mentoring new analysts

This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI location. This is a second shift position - training will be done on first shift.

Qualifications
