Job summary

Electro-Methods in Windsor, CT seeks a Cell Technician – NDT Level II Radiographic – NAS 410 certified to perform radiographic inspections of aerospace components and ensure quality and safety.

You will set up X-ray equipment, train Level I staff, and maintain compliance with AS9100 and FAA standards in a detail-oriented, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Current NAS 410 Radiography certification or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of radiographic inspection techniques, safety, and equipment use.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic inspections in line with NAS 410 and customer requirements.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate X-ray non-film equipment.
• Interpret and document inspection results with precision.
• Inspect welds (EB, GTAW) per standards.
• Train and mentor Level I and trainees in best practices.
• Maintain compliance with AS9100, FAA, and aerospace quality standards.
• Support cross-training with additional NDT methods when needed.
• Operate other cell equipment to maintain takt.

Overview

The NDT Level II Radiographic Technician (NAS 410 Certified) performs and evaluates radiographic inspections to ensure the integrity of critical aerospace components. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a technical environment and is passionate about maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic inspections in line with NAS 410, company procedures, and customer requirements.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate X-ray non-film equipment.
• Interpret and evaluate results, documenting findings with precision.
• Conduct inspections of welds (EB, GTAW).
• Train and mentor Level I and trainee personnel in best practices.
• Maintain compliance with AS9100, FAA, and other aerospace quality standards.
• Support cross-training across additional NDT methods when needed.
• Operate other equipment in the cell as necessary to keep product flowing at takt.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Required

• Current NDT Level II Radiography (X-ray non-film) certification to NAS 410 (other equivalent standards may be considered).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of radiographic inspection techniques, safety, and equipment use.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Additional Information

Preferred

• Previous aerospace or industrial inspection experience.
• Multi-method NDT experience (PT, UT, MT, ET).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
