Radiographer-Cardiovascular - Cardiac Cath Lab Full-time Days

Join Northwestern Medicine as a Radiographer - Cardiovascular in our Cardiac Cath Lab, contributing to our mission of providing exceptional patient care. This full-time day position offers the opportunity to work within a leading healthcare system committed to innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging procedures related to cardiac catheterization and general diagnostics to support diagnosis and intervention.
  • Assist with obtaining hemodynamic data, digital angiograms, and support patient care activities in accordance with industry standards and hospital policies.
  • Evaluate requests for radiographic services, assess patients, and determine appropriate procedures and protocols.
  • Use imaging systems and accessories effectively to generate high-quality images.
  • Perform interventional radiographic procedures and care for patients throughout their procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Participate in patient lifting and transportation, and review images for quality and standards compliance.
  • Document procedures electronically, position patients appropriately, and maintain aseptic principles.
  • Monitor supplies, report equipment issues promptly, and adhere to radiation safety practices per state and federal regulations.
  • Manage patients effectively during procedures, considering their cognitive, emotional, and sensory needs.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate's degree in Applied Sciences
  • ARRT certification, IDNS License, BCLS Certification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, strong computer skills, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science degree
