Job summary

Encompass Medical Group is seeking a full-time Radiographer for the Premier Imaging department at our Lee's Summit office in the KC metro area. The role includes diagnostic imaging, patient care, image evaluation, and adherence to safety standards.

We offer a $500 sign-on bonus after probation and an additional $500 after one year of service, plus competitive salary, PTO, and comprehensive benefits. Travel to KC metro offices may be required.

• Performs diagnostic radiographic services and patient care.

Position Summary:

Performs diagnostic radiographic services, provides patient care and assessment. Evaluates images in accordance with professional practice standards. Participates in quality assurance activities and maintains appropriate credentials related to clinical practice.

Position Accountabilities:

• Collects pertinent data about the patient and procedure to provide appropriate imaging services that meet the radiologists standards
• Confirms patient identification and pregnancy status when appropriate
• Performs diagnostic radiographic exam using professional judgement and discretion
• Determines appropriate shielding devices or other accessory equipment
• Administers first aid or provides life support in emergency situations
• Monitors the patient’s physical and mental state during the procedure
• Operates imaging equipment/devices, performs accurate patient positioning, and calculates correct exposure factors
• Documents patient data, procedures, and relevant information as determined by practice standards
• Evaluates radiographs for technical image quality
• Produces additional images as needed to provide appropriate outcome
• Performs and documents quality assurance activities based on established quality protocols
• Provides health care services with respect for patient’s dignity and age-specific needs
• Adheres to accepted standards, policies, and procedures adopted by the profession and regulated by law
• Maintains appropriate credentials, continuing education, and certification related to clinical practice
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested

Job Specifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of Radiologic Technology program accredited by the JCERT (Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology)
• Certification by the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• 1 year of experience preferred, but not required
• Mammography or other modalities preferred, but not required

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

• May be required to travel to other offices within the KC metro
• Lifting, standing, bending, moving patients, supplies and equipment
• Exposure to radiation, bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, processing chemicals and airborne particles
