  • Basic Life Support (BLS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certifications.
  • Maintains required licensure, certifications, continuing education, and compliance with all departmental and enterprise policies.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and verifies physician orders, patient identity, and clinical history prior to examination.
  • Performs diagnostic radiology procedures, including radiographic, fluoroscopic, and interventional exams, ensuring image quality and patient safety.
  • Selects and adapts protocols, positions patients, and administers contrast media as required, accommodating patient needs and age-specific criteria.
  • Practices radiation safety and infection control standards, including ALARA principles, dosimeter use, and thorough equipment and room cleaning.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation, including exam charging, supply charging, patient records, and quality control activities in electronic systems.
  • Organizes and maintains an efficient, safe, and clean work environment, managing inventory and equipment maintenance.
  • Provides effective communication and education to patients, families, staff, and students, utilizing professional etiquette and hand-off protocols.
  • Adapts to workflow or protocol changes, participates in training, and assists in onboarding new employees and students.
  • Maintains required licensure, certifications, continuing education, and compliance with all departmental and enterprise policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description: Job Summary Responsible for performing and maintaining diagnostic imaging in accordance with departmental protocols and QA guidelines. Ensures patient safety and comfort by following age-appropriate standards and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Coordinates communication among care teams to address patient needs and reduce barriers to care. Maintains equipment, completes service calls, and documents incidents as required. Promotes customer satisfaction and supports ongoing staff development and competency.

Education Requirement

High school diploma or equivalent and vocational/technical training in a designated technical area

Experience Requirement

0–2 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
