Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform a variety of radiologic procedures using portable and specialized x-ray equipment under Radiologist supervision.
The role includes C-arm procedures in the operating room and pain clinic, as well as fluoroscopy with the Radiologist's assistance; on-call and holiday coverage are required.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 24 - Under Radiologist supervision and following established protocols and procedures, the technologist will be expected to perform a variety of radiologic procedures using standard, portable and/or specialized x-ray equipment.
Technologists will be required to perform C-arm procedures in both the operating room and in pain clinic as well as special procedure injections and fluoroscopy procedures with the assistance of a Radiologist.
Technologists are required to cover on-call and holiday shifts. Per-diem technologists may be required to cover holiday shifts.
Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology
ARRT certified
Licensure in Radiology from the state of Massachusetts
Radiographers must possess the physical stamina and strength to stand/walk for extended periods of time, push heavy mobile imaging equipment, and lift or reposition patients weighing over 50-100 lbs using proper body mechanics. The role requires frequent bending, reaching, and manual dexterity for manipulating equipment, as well as high visual/auditory acuity. Constant standing and walking throughout the shift are required. Must have ability to move and reposition heavy portable X-ray machines, C-arms, and patient stretchers. Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and reaching (sometimes overhead) are required. Requires fine motor skills for handling delicate imaging components. Auditory ability to communicate with patients and hear equipment signals; Regular exposure to radiation, communicable diseases, and bodily fluids. Ability to exert 30-70 lbs of force for maneuvering patients or equipment. Ability to work in confined spaces and use PPE (e.g., lead aprons) for extended periods.
Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.
