Job summary

Mclaurin Aerospace seeks a Radiofrequency Engineer to support NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. You will analyze RF systems, participate in reviews, and assist with RF test campaigns to advance space exploration and related Earth applications.

The role requires a US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance, and extensive experience in antenna and RF system design with HFSS and waveform analyzers. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• US Citizen and ability to obtain/maintain US security clearance.
• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree; 15+ years antenna/RF design experience required.
• Experience with HFSS, GPS/GNSS simulators, and RF waveform analyzers (BPSK, QAM, QPSK).

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing transmitters, receivers, and antenna designs.
• Participate in requirements and data reviews with inputs and comments.
• Support test campaigns in internal and external labs.
• Conduct RF subsystem trade studies and link margin analyses.
• Prepare design/analysis reports and support milestones with customers.
• Engage in technical interchange meetings to maintain design knowledge.
• Perform RF interference/compatibility analyses.
• Mentor early-career and internship engineers.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Radiofrequency Engineer to join our ESSCA contract team at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL.

If selected you will:

• Provide analyses of existing transmitters, receivers, and antenna designs.
• Participate in requirements and data reviews providing inputs and comments.
• Support test campaigns in the internal and external laboratories.
• Support and generate RF subsystem trade studies.
• Perform link margin analyses using various modulation protocols and environmental influences.
• Write or collaborate communication system design and analyses reports.
• Project milestone reviews for customers and stakeholders.
• Project technical interchange, planning, review, and other appropriate meetings required to maintain current knowledge base of design, requirements, issues, action items, and resolution activities.
• Perform radio frequency interference/radio frequency compatibility analyses.
• Organizational management reviews.
• Mentor early-career and internship engineers.

Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen and currently have an active or can obtain US Security Clearance.
• Visual Basic, MathCAD and/or MatLab, ANSYS High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS), GPS/GNSS Simulators, and PNT / Communication Waveform Analyzers (BPSK, QAM, QPSK)

Education requirements:

A degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited university and 15 or more years of experience in Antenna and RF systems design, test, and evaluation.

• Ph.D., with minimum of 9+ years of experience,
• MS with at least 13+ years of experience, or
• BS with at least 15+ years of experience.
