Job summary

EnergySolutions, LLC is seeking a Process Technician in Erwin, TN to load, pack and transport materials and operate forklifts and cranes as required. You will review documentation of radioactive materials and ensure accuracy and safety throughout all steps of processing and shipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to operate forklift and crane equipment.
• Must pass pre-employment/hazwoper physical.
• Experience in handling radioactive materials and waste processing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Loads and packs materials into containers for transportation, operates a forklift and other heavy equipment as required and reviews documentation of radioactive materials for completion and accuracy.
• Operates sorting, segregation, size reduction, treatment, and repackaging operations in strict accordance with procedures.
• Follows all safety rules, regulations and procedures.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Prepares bill of lading for transportation of materials in accordance with Department of Transportation requirements.
• Reviews and ensures data accuracy for radioactive waste shipments.
