Job description



Join forces with an innovative workforce solutions team and play a key role in supporting cutting-edge RFID technology in railroad operations. We have partnered with a premier client and are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radio Frequency Technician to provide technical expertise in evaluating, testing, and troubleshooting non-conforming products and field test failures.



Pay: $27.00/hr.

Schedule: 5:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Thursday (10-hour shifts)



Key Responsibilities:



  • Test AC and DC electrical specifications according to installation requirements.

  • Troubleshoot and repair defective units, documenting processes and production operations.

  • Assemble and test products to meet customer specifications.

  • Read schematics and troubleshoot to the board level.

  • Program radio equipment and diagnose issues using proper test equipment.

  • Interpret schematics and drawings and troubleshoot down to the component level.

  • Perform technical modifications and complete electronic forms with accuracy.

  • Collaborate with engineers, customers, and coworkers to ensure high-quality solutions.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision and take on additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience and/or training in Electronic Technology or equivalent education and experience.

  • Solid understanding of hardware and the theory of operations in radio communications, particularly in RFID radio transceiver technology.

  • Proficiency in radio programming software and familiarity with Windows systems; background in 2-way radio systems preferred.

  • Skilled in using a wide variety of power tools, hand tools, and test equipment (e.g., network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope).

  • Basic mechanical and electrical application skills.


Additional Skills:



  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, test procedures, and engineering specifications.

  • Strong technical writing skills for internal and external documentation.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication skills for technical discussions.
