Job summary

Donatech Corporation seeks an experienced RF Engineer in Marietta, GA to design RF circuits for high-frequency applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and synthesizers. You will handle hardware layout, testing, and prototype construction, and prepare methods and specs for verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in RF Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• 3-5 years of experience in communication systems development including radios/antennas.
• 3+ years of experience with HFSS RF analysis tools.

Job description

Position would require the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech.
US Citizenship Required.
Active Secret Clearance Required.

Architects and designs Radio Frequency systems and circuitry. Designs and develops RF circuitry used in high frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers. Responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test. Prepares test methods and specifications; analyzes and tests RF hardware to verify performance characteristics. Provides inputs to Product Development for formal documentation and supports manufacturing during the deliverable assembly and test phase. In addition, develops RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of: antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment. Performs link analysis and optimization, including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources. Develops and allocates RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements. Identifies and tracks RF technical performance measurements (TPMs). Performs RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis. Supports Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in RF Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related STEM discipline.
• 3-5 years of Communication systems development to include radios, antennas, and/or other related communication subsystems.
• 3+ years of Experience with RF analysis tools High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS)

Desired Skills

• Experience with design, development, and integration of Communication systems
• Proficient in system engineering processes
• Experience with RF analysis; Co-site, Antenna Pattern, and Link budgets
• Knowledge of Military and/or Government programs
