Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Fitchburg, MA seeks a Radiation Therapist to plan, deliver, and monitor prescribed radiation treatments. You will check prescriptions and patient IDs, explain procedures, and prepare rooms and equipment to exact chart specifications.

The role requires ARRT Radiation Therapy certification and MA licensure, with strong communication and patient-care skills. This is a full-time, day-shift position within the Radiation Oncology department.

Qualifications

• Must have ARRT Radiation Therapy certification.
• Massachusetts license in Radiation Therapy required.
• Graduate of JRCERT-approved Radiation Therapy Program.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and delivers prescribed radiation to patients as per chart and prescription.
• Administers radiation therapy while observing safety measures for patients and staff.
• Monitors patient during treatment and maintains charts and rooms.
• Maintains departmental records and schedules patient appointments.
• Assists in care and maintenance of facilities and equipment and reports hazards.
