GI Alliance in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Radiation Therapy Nurse to support patients through their treatment journey. You will collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and operations leadership to ensure compassionate, evidence-based care.

The role emphasizes patient education, accurate documentation in EMR, and coordination of schedules, with a focus on safety and adherence to OSHA guidelines in a fast-paced oncology setting.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current Arizona RN license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of one year nursing experience preferred.
• Oncology and/or radiation oncology experience preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate onboarding and training for newly hired medical assistant staff to promote high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.
• Delegate responsibilities within the nursing team to ensure appropriate coverage and balanced workloads.
• Manage and coordinate patient schedules for physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Assist with medication prior authorizations, disability paperwork, and other patient care coordination needs.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA standards and ensure compliance with all applicable safety and infection control guidelines.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms for procedures and assist providers with clinical care as needed.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, treatments, and care plans while addressing questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Accurately document all nursing interventions in the EMR, including medications, dosages, administration routes, treatment details, adverse reactions, and related clinical information.
• Triage patient phone calls professionally and efficiently, recognizing individual patient needs and ensuring concerns are appropriately assessed, addressed, documented, and communicated.
• Provide patient education, counseling, and support throughout the continuum of care.
• Conduct comprehensive review of systems and medication reconciliation prior to patient appointments.
• Scribe office visits and maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to support exceptional patient outcomes and continuity of care.
