Texas Oncology is looking for a Radiation Therapist to join our team! This position will support our TXO McAllen, TX location.

Responsibilities
What does the Radiation Therapist do?

The Radiation Therapist, under supervision, administers radiation treatments. Precision in positioning and delivering the prescribed dose is essential. Supports adherence to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Essential duties include:
  • Delivering and recording radiation treatments accurately under supervision.
  • Entering and maintaining patient treatment data in electronic records.
  • Assisting with patient scheduling and billing.
  • Cutting blocks and making custom molds as needed.
  • Performing simple MU calculations.
  • Interpreting treatment plans.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, organized work environment.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program.
  • ARRT certification and valid state license.
Physical Demands

Regularly required to sit, use hands, and handle objects. Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds. Vision and hearing must be within normal ranges.
