Job summary

Viper Staffing Services L.L.C. is seeking a Radiation Therapist specializing in Radiology Oncology in Eureka, CA. The role focuses on delivering precise external beam radiation treatments with advanced imaging, CT simulation, and IGRT.

You will work with oncologists and physicists to implement IMRT plans, ensure strict safety standards, and manage patient education and documentation within the EHR system. Onsite benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiation Therapist certification from an accredited program; radiology oncology specialization preferred.
• Experience operating CT scanners and linear accelerators.
• Knowledge of radiation physics, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to oncology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for radiation therapy using CT simulation and IGRT.
• Operate and maintain linear accelerators, CT scanners, and radiotherapy devices.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to develop treatment plans including IMRT.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during treatment sessions.
• Ensure radiation safety procedures protect patients, staff, environment.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR) documenting treatment details and responses.
• Educate patients about the treatment process and terminology.
• Stay current with advances in imaging, physics, and oncology practices.
