Job summary

Cancer Care Centers of Brevard, a proud member of The US Oncology Network, is seeking a PRN Radiation Therapist to join our oncology team on the Space Coast of Florida.

Under direct supervision, you will deliver radiation treatments, maintain treatment records, and support a collaborative, patient-centered care environment with access to advanced radiation technology.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
  • ARRT certification required.
  • Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.
  • Radiation Therapist I : 0–3 years experience, RTT.
  • Radiation Therapist II : 3–5 years RTT experience.
  • Senior Radiation Therapist : 5+ years RTT experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and record radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
  • Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters into EMR.
  • Participate in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
  • Maintain patient appointment schedule and submit correct billing information.
  • Cut blocks when applicable.
  • Make custom molds.
  • Complete simple MU calculations.
  • Interpret a computerized treatment plan.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Schedule
  • PRN (as needed)
  • Coverage for PTO, leaves of absence, and department staffing needs

SCOPE: Under direct supervision, administers radiation therapy treatments to patients. Accuracy in positioning the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and accurately delivering the prescribed dose are paramount job functions. Supports and adheres to The US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

  • Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
  • Accurately enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into electronic medical record.
  • Participates in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
  • Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information.
  • Accurately cuts blocks, when applicable.
  • Accurately makes custom molds.
  • Accurately completes simple mu calculations.
  • Accurately interprets a computerized treatment plan.
  • Maintains clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
  • ARRT certification required.
  • Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.
  • Radiation Therapist I : requires 0-3 years experience actively practicing as an RTT.
  • Radiation Therapist II : requires 3-5 years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
  • Senior Radiation Therapist : requires 5+ years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
