We have an immediate opening for a Per Diem Radiation Therapist.

Applicants will be hired into the appropriate title based on their credentials and years of experience applicable.

SCOPE

Under direct supervision, administers radiation therapy treatments to patients. Accuracy in positioning the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and accurately delivering the prescribed dose are paramount job functions. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
2. Accurately enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into electronic medical record.
3. Participates in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
4. Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information.
5. Accurately cuts blocks, when applicable.
6. Accurately makes custom molds.
7. Accurately completes simple mu calculations.
8. Accurately interprets a computerized treatment plan.
9. Maintains clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification required.
• Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.

• Radiation Therapist I: requires 0-3 years experience actively practicing as an RTT.
• Radiation Therapist II: requires 3-5 years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
• Senior Radiation Therapist: requires 5+ years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
